1852 Bought 3 acres in Mount Pleasant, Monmouth Cty, from Michael Conover, his father in law.
1873 Listed in Beer's Atlas of Monmouth Cty in Mount Pleasant, NJ. Occupation listed as Toll Gate Keeper

John Greenwood was born on 3. Apr. 1813. He was the son of pos Thomas Greenwood and pos Catherine Van Brakle. John Greenwood married Elizabeth Conover, daughter of Michael Conover and Nancy Suydam, on 27. Dec. 1838 at Monmouth County, New Jersey. John Greenwood was master blacksmith at Keyport, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He died on 29. Oct. 1888 at Keyport, Monmouth County, New Jersey, at age 75.
