Tunis Conover was also known as Tunis J. Conover. He was also known as Tunis Covenhoven. Tunis Conover was born on 26. Jul. 1769 at Holmdel, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was baptized on 27. Aug. 1769 at Dutch Reformed Church, Freehold-Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He was the son of William Covenhoven and Elizabeth Aumack. Tunis Conover married Martha Vanderhoef on 7. Dec. 1788 at Dutch Reformed Church, Freehold-Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Tunis Conover died on 11. Apr. 1844 at age 74. He was buried a 11. Apr. 1844 at Old Brick Church Cemetery, Marlboro, Monmouth County, New Jersey.

William Covenhoven was also known as William Willamse Conover. William Covenhoven was born on 13. Mar. 1725. He was also known as William Conover. William Covenhoven was born on 13. Mar. 1726. He was the son of William Covenhoven and Adriantje Bennet. William Covenhoven married Elizabeth Aumack, daughter of Tunis Aumack and Helena Lane, c 1751. In his will dated Sep 15, 1790, William Covenhoven of Freehold, farmer, mentioned his wife Elizabeth, his sons Garret and Tunis; his daughters Eleanor (Eleena), Yanney (Ariantje), Jane (Janitje), Merget (Grietje), Ephamy (Aefje), and Atkey (Altje). The executors were his two sons and the witnesses Stephen Van Brackle, Aaron Vanderbilt, and John Tice. William Covenhoven died in 1810. He died on 18. Jul. 1810 at age 84. His estate was proved on 25. Jul. 1810.
