     Now, a bit about me. As you may have noticed on my email, my name is shown as Francis(Edwin Bede)Thornton. My baptismal name is Francis Edwin, but when one is ordained into Orthodoxy , and Incardinated into the sacred priesthood, one takes the name of one of the Saints. However, Francis is not recognized as a Orthodox Saint ,but Edwin was an early Celtic and Old English Saint, and Bede was a monk who is noted as a early historical biographer of the Church in England. Among family and friends, I still answer to Frank, but in my priestly role, I am Fr. Edwin Bede.
