The view from the pass between the coast and the inland valleys offered mystery. A wonderful place to stop for a snack in San Isidro. While we sat there and sampled the baked goods a car and a truck collided on the road. We were interested in learning more about the coffee bean processing plant, but unfortunately, they were not open for tours.

A pineapple left behind during the harvest. Pineapple fields in the El General Valley Sugar cane refinery the owner and Mark. Francis holding the output of the sugar refinement. That night Mark made a dessert with bananas, brandy and cane sugar.

Brigitte thoroughly enjoyed the playground we found on the way to San Gerardo de Rivas. We found that by pushing a few tables together we could accommodate the party of 8. The lunch was delicious and the view from the deck was hazy but we could see across a large valley to mountains. Lunch service started with beverages. Vivianne studied the menu closely.
