In the North East, we had seen lots of fall colors. While they were turning, there were still leaves on most of the trees in middle Tennessee. On our first morning, we dressed for a hike, took Valerie to PP Elementary School and, after dropping her off, decided to explore a nearby park which we had scoped out briefly in May (our last visit).
