1 Aug - National Day

We got signals crossed about the parade starting time... apparently someone in our group got to the front of the school before everyone else
Down on Grand' Rue, the head of the parade arrives with pipers whistles
Thousands of people have turned out
Greg and August are in the parade, too
And, guess who else! Leo's wearing Titine's red shirt to be sure he's coordinated with national colors!
Apparently, this was Brigitte and Nico's first time (in recent years?) in the Montreux August 1 parade, but August has done it before
Gathering under the covered market
Some folks had to take a detour to check out the crane again
Long lines waiting for their sausages
But little one gets first dibs and he LOVES them! Ate at least two by himself
Washed down with a glass of apple juice all by himself
Three generations of Swiss
Ching ching!
Saucisses de veau roasting (very slowly) on these gas grills
Along the quais, there's entertainment
Back at RGB, there's Duplos
And in Greg's garden there are cherry tomatoes to harvest for dinner
Dinning room table for card games
There's also oversized squash to play with when the cards no longer hold your attention
And laundry buckets!
