The calls of these large birds notified us that they were in the vicinity. We found them on a branch of a tree below the neighboring house. Here is a close up of the toucan. On the road to Dominical Nikki and Brigitte walking along the beach. There were surfers in droves, but we chose to stay out of the water. This colorful crab was dead, but still photogenic This place really caught our imagination. It was a bar, restaurant, post office and they offered laundry service as well!

 

The road north of Dominical was under water in places. But south of town it was in beautiful condition, most of the way. This was the first time we saw howler monkeys in the trees. We got Debra's spotting scope and took a closer look.
